About Janine
·Change Strategist·Author·Founder of DO.ITChange™·Creator of the Shift Pattern Index™
Janine Lequay is a Change Strategist, author, and the creator of DO.ITChange™ and the Faria-Lequay Shift Pattern Index™. With over 15 years of experience leading organizational change across Fortune 500 companies, government agencies, and global markets, she bridges corporate strategy with real human experience.
Her work focuses on the part of change that is often hardest to see: how people experience it, how they respond to it, and what they need in order to move. As the founder of DO.ITChange™, she has built a full ecosystem of tools, programs, and community that helps people navigate transition with structure and intention, inside an organization or on their own.
Across her career, Janine watched organizations invest heavily in change frameworks while the people inside them were left without a personal way to navigate what was happening to them. Organizations planned carefully for change, and the people inside it were left to find their own way through.
The DO IT Change Method™ was built to close that gap. It gives people a structured way to understand how they respond to change, identify what they need in order to move, and turn that understanding into intentional action.
Change can be chosen, or it can choose you. Either way, the person living it deserves a structure for moving through it.
Mission
Structure, self-understanding, and intentional action for the person living the change, inside an organization or on their own.
Vision
Change does not have to be chaotic. We have just normalized it. Janine is building a movement around how people navigate change, so that people understand how they move through transition and leaders see the human response beneath every change.
Belief
Change becomes real one person at a time. Some experiences are genuinely difficult, and they also develop perspective, strength, and capability.
A few things you will not find in her bio.
01
I am a mother of three. My children keep me grounded and honest, and they remind me every day that change never stops. Each new stage they move through asks something new of me as a parent, so home is where I practice what I teach first.
02
I love adventure. I have been skydiving, and I am drawn to experiences that take me past what feels comfortable. Jumping out of a plane teaches you something about change: at some point you stop overthinking it and you go.
03
Losing my mother two weeks after my first daughter was born. I was becoming a mother and losing mine in the same season, holding joy and grief at the same time, with no pause button. That season taught me that change does not wait until you are ready, and that you can still find a way to move through it.
04
I was born in California and grew up in Virginia, and my family is from Trinidad and Tobago. I am really proud of my upbringing. My parents made our culture a big part of our lives, even while we were growing up in America, so I feel like I had the best of both worlds. As an adult, I lived in Trinidad and Tobago for nine years. Moving between places and cultures taught me how to adjust, build belonging, and start again, and it shapes how I see people navigating change today.
05
Adaptability, on both counts. It lets me meet change head on and find a way forward when plans fall apart. The other side is that I can adjust so quickly that I do not always stop to notice what a change is costing me. I have learned to slow down and give myself the same structure I give others.
